VR Camp and Burning Man VR

Way back when we attended the Game Developer Conference in San Francisco we had the pleasure of meeting Shannon Norrell. Shannon himself will tell you that he is a virtual reality enthusiast,  but he also loves Burning Man. He has had the honor of working on some of the coolest Burning Man projects over the years including: The Trojan Horse and the Alien Siege Machine. This year he and all the folks from VR Camp want to bring the first-ever virtual reality experience to Burning Man, showcasing the latest technology from the Oculus Rift, 360 VR,  games and you guessed it, Perception Neuron. We couldn't be more excited to be part of this amazing project and be part of what Shannon calls a "VR movement."

VR Camp is currently running a campaign on Indiegogo with the hopes of bringing the VR experience to life. We wouldn't have been able to make Perception Neuron a reality without the help of all our backers in the Kickstarter community. It's because of crowdfunding platforms that we get some of the most creative and imaginative ideas and help make them more than just that idea. VR Camp needs your help, any contribution made will be greatly appreciated and will be going towards an awesome project. We saw first hand at Maker Faire just how in awe people were of something like the Oculus Rift, for people who are developers or even get to spend time around the VR community many of us have seen or tried the Oculus. But for others it was a completly new experience leaving them excited about what they were seeing and experiencing.

That feeling is what VR Camp wants to deliver for Burning Man 2015, be part of the movement to show people the world of VR and let's grow the community together. Find the Indiegogo campaign here: Burning Man VR Camp and spread the word to everyone you know.
